初秋为什么仍在育雏
国家林草局9月7日报道，纳帕海浅滩与沼泽草甸仍有白骨顶、凤头䴙䴘、白眼潜鸭、绿头鸭和赤麻鸭等完成繁殖育雏。当地度夏鸟类已增至55种、种群超过2000只。
不同物种和家庭的繁殖进度并不一致。初秋看到幼鸟不能认为繁殖季已经完全结束，更不能进入草甸、浅水和封育区寻找鸟蛋、巢或更近镜头。
三类水鸟怎样区分
白骨顶通体深色，成鸟额甲和嘴白，幼鸟头颈颜色较淡；凤头䴙䴘颈长、嘴尖，成鸟有明显头饰，亲鸟有时会背负幼鸟；白眼潜鸭体形较紧凑，雄鸟栗色，白色虹膜醒目。
换羽、幼羽、雌雄差异和远距离光线都会改变外观。先观察游姿、潜水频率、嘴形和家庭行为，再结合照片判断，不用鸣声或靠近迫使鸟改变动作。
高原安全与湿地边界
只在开放道路和观景点使用望远镜，不驶入草甸、不越过围栏、不下水。车辆低速通过牲畜与鸟群活动路段，不鸣笛、不用无人机，也不把亲鸟与幼鸟隔开。
纳帕海海拔较高，天气变化快。携带防晒、保暖和饮水，初到高原减少奔跑与长距离负重；雨雪、大风、积水或管理部门临时封闭时及时取消或缩短行程。
Why broods remain in early autumn
The NFGA reported on September 7 that Eurasian Coots, Great Crested Grebes, Ferruginous Ducks, Mallards and Ruddy Shelducks were still completing breeding and chick-rearing on Napahai's shallows and marsh meadows. The wetland now supports 55 summering bird species and more than 2,000 individuals.
Species and families finish at different times. Young birds in early autumn mean the breeding season is not fully over; never enter meadow, shallow water or restoration enclosures to seek eggs, nests or closer images.
Separating three waterbirds
Adult Eurasian Coot is dark with a white bill and frontal shield, while young birds have paler head and neck. Great Crested Grebe has a long neck, pointed bill and adult head plumes, and may carry chicks. Ferruginous Duck is compact; the male is rich chestnut with a conspicuous white iris.
Moult, juvenile plumage, sex and distant light all change appearance. Watch swimming style, diving, bill shape and family behaviour before judging from photographs, and never use sound or proximity to force movement.
Plateau safety and wetland boundaries
Use optics only from open roads and viewpoints. Do not drive onto meadows, cross fences or enter water. Pass livestock and birds slowly, without horns or drones, and never separate adults from young.
Napahai is high and weather changes quickly. Carry sun protection, warm layers and water, and reduce running or heavy exertion when newly arrived. Shorten or cancel when rain, snow, wind, flooding or temporary management controls make the route unsafe.
