热气流通常随日照和地形变化，风向、云量和降雨也会改变高度与路线。出发前查看天气和道路状态，现场没有迁徙流时不沿谷追车，也不把监测描述当作进入湿地的许可。
先看尾形和飞行节奏
黑鸢翼长，盘旋时翼端分指明显，尾部常呈浅叉；滑翔时双翼可略弯。高空逆光会让颜色失去判断价值，应记录尾形、翼形、盘旋方向、离开方位和时间段。
个体在同一热气柱反复盘旋，容易被重复计数。可用5只为一组分块，写清观察起止时间；疑似重新进入视野的个体保守扣除，无法确认时记为大型猛禽未定。
不把迁徙河谷变成追鸟公路
在合法停车点或公共开阔地固定观察，不急停在弯道、桥面和软路肩，不随鸟群驾车追逐。不要向巡护人员索要停歇湿地、觅食地或实时飞行方向，也不要在村落上空使用无人机。
黑鸢落地补给时需要恢复体力。保持远距离，不围堵、不鸣笛驱飞、不投喂；公开记录只写梁河县或河谷级范围，原始坐标可定向提交林草部门或有审核机制的记录平台。
More than 50 belongs to one monitoring window
The flock was recorded during official wildlife monitoring as an autumn passage group. Black Kites climb in valley thermals, then glide to reduce energy use, while nearby wetlands offer temporary rest and food. The number belongs to one observation and does not promise a daily or fixed-site spectacle.
Thermals change with sun and terrain, while wind, cloud and rain alter height and route. Check weather and roads before departure. If no stream appears, do not chase by vehicle or treat a monitoring report as access permission for a wetland.
Read tail shape and flight rhythm first
Black Kite has long wings with separated primary tips and usually a shallowly forked tail; the wings may bow slightly in a glide. Backlight removes colour, so note tail, wing form, circling direction, exit bearing and time window.
Birds circling repeatedly in one thermal are easy to count twice. Use blocks of five, write start and end times, conservatively remove likely re-entries and keep uncertain birds as unidentified large raptors.
Do not turn a migration valley into a chase road
Watch from legal parking or public open ground. Never stop on bends, bridges or soft shoulders, and never drive after the flock. Do not ask rangers for resting wetlands, feeding sites or live directions, and do not fly a drone over villages.
A grounded kite needs to recover. Keep distance; no crowding, honking, flushing or feeding. Publish only county- or valley-level locality and send exact evidence privately to forestry staff or a moderated records platform.
